Sean M. Williams Memorial Scholarship

An annual scholarship to a Keweenaw Bay Indian Community member to pursue a degree in the Liberal Studies Art Emphasis Program at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College.

The Sean M. Williams Memorial Scholarship Fund was established to honor the memory of Sean M. Williams. The scholarship provides an annual scholarship to a Keweenaw Bay Indian Community member or their descendent to pursue a degree in the Liberal Studies Art Emphasis Program at Keweenaw Bay Ojibwa Community College.

Scholarship Requirements

  • Applicant shall be a member of the Keweenaw Bay Indian Community or a descendent of a member.

  • Applicant shall be a graduating senior in high school or a current college student with a GPA of 2.0 or better and in good standing with his/her school.

  • Selection of scholarship shall be based on financial need and academic performance.

  • Students should be enrolled in either the Liberal Studies or Anishinaabe studies program.

 
 

AWARDS

The 2022 scholarship was awarded to Cassidy Nauretz.

Due to financial circumstances surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, the scholarship was unable to grant in 2020 and 2021.

The 2019 scholarship award was awarded to Justin Smith.
