Ron and Lou Ellyn Helman Scholarship
Encouraging skilled, motivated students towards self-sufficiency and reliability
The Ron and Lou Ellyn Helman Scholarship encourages skilled, motivated students to enter a post-secondary school offering programs in fields such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, secretarial work, automotive services, nursing, and more. The goal is to further their education in the field of their choice in order to become a skilled worker who is self-sufficient, reliable, and a contributing member of society.

The 2022 scholarship was awarded to Hancock High School graduate Reegan Stromer, presented by the Helmans.

The 2020 scholarship was awarded to Katherine Jaszczak. Katherine attended Saginaw Valley State University and majored in nursing.

The 2020 scholarship was awarded to Gabrielle Roberts. Gabrielle attended Lake Superior State University and focused on becoming a specialized Registered Nurse.
