Richard and Clara Fedewa Scholarship
Honoring Richard and Clara Fedewa. Supporting female high school graduates who are members of St. Ignatius Loyola Parish in pursuing post-secondary education.
The Richard and Clara Fedewa Scholarship is available to female high school graduates who are members of the St. Ignatius Loyola parish seeking to further their education at a college or trade school. Awards are based on academic achievement, need, and parish/community involvement.
The roots of the Catholic Church in the Portage Lake area are associated with Bishop Frederic Baraga, “The Snowshoe Priest,” who dedicated the original St. Ignatius Loyola Church on July 31, 1859.
