PLDL Winter Reading Program

The Portage Lake District Library is offering their Winter Reading Program from January 16th through February 20th. The community is invited to a kick-off party at the Library on January 16th from 1:00 - 3:00 PM at the Portage Lake District Library in Houghton. This free, family-friendly event will include snacks, tea hot chocolate, and coffee.

About the Winter Reading Program

The program starts on January 16th and goes through February 20th. Each book read equals one entry for a drawing during the course of the reading program. There will be drawings for gift certificates form local business including:

  • Black Ice Comics and Books

  • Sky Sushi 

  • Roger’s Cinema 5

  • J. Jukuri Spa and Salon

  • Keweenaw Gem and Gift

  • Keweenaw Co-Op

  • Suomi Restaurant

  • K.C. Bonkers
