Why We Partnered with Listen4Good

KCF entered the collaboration with a clear commitment: we wanted a deeper understanding of what “impact” means to the people of Houghton and Keweenaw counties. L4G supported us with:

  • A structured framework for equitable listening

  • Coaching and technical guidance

  • Tools to design an accessible, representative regional survey

  • A focus on transparency and closing the feedback loop

What We Learned Together

With L4G’s help, KCF launched a Community Impact Survey that gathered input from 253 residents across the region. The process revealed:

  • A need for increased visibility and clearer communication about KCF

  • Community priorities such as childcare, nonprofit support, and connection

  • Opportunities for KCF to better convene, share resources, and strengthen collaboration

L4G’s tools and coaching ensured we could interpret the data responsibly and meaningfully.

A Continued Commitment to Listening

The collaboration with Listen4Good helped KCF strengthen our listening practices and deepen trust with the people we serve. We look forward to continuing this work and ensuring community voice remains at the heart of everything we do.
