The Keweenaw Community Foundation welcomes Shannon Meller as the new Director of Finance and Operations! Shannon will support KCF’s long-term sustainability and financial stewardship.

“We are excited to have Shannon join the Keweenaw Community Foundation,” said Robin Meneguzzo, Chief Executive Officer. “Her work will help our organization remain strong, responsive, and well-positioned to support the evolving needs of our community.”

Shannon brings more than a decade of experience in operations, data analysis, and organizational management, with a professional background spanning the nonprofit, higher education, and finance sectors.

Her career includes progressive roles at Michigan Technological University, where she supported complex financial, research, and advancement functions by managing systems, improving workflows, and handling sensitive information with discretion and integrity.

Shannon’s ability to translate complex information into clear, actionable insights will be invaluable for strengthening KCF’s internal operations and strategic growth.

Shannon grew up in the Chicago area and relocated to the Keweenaw about 20 years ago. “I love that I can be in the forest or at the lakeshore within 15 minutes of leaving my house,” said Shannon. “KCF offers the perfect place to merge my business expertise with my desire to make the world a better place. I am grateful for this opportunity to do what I enjoy in such a meaningful way.”
