Community Spotlight: Let’s Rebuild Community

Let’s Rebuild Community is a local non-profit organization formed to help seniors, veterans, and persons with disabilities who have difficulty with painting their own homes or keeping up with landscaping. The goal of Let’s Rebuild Community is to help people maintain their most important asset - their homes. After this year’s application process, four homes were selected in the Calumet-Laurium area to kick off the program this summer.

Saturday July 29, 2023 was the kick-off day to get started on all four homes. Two require a complete paint job (outside) and the other two have more minor issues. Fourteen volunteers showed up for kick-off!
