Copper Country Angel MIssion

Supporting families in need with compassion, dignity, and hope.

Copper Country Angel Mission provides food, clothing, and essential assistance to hundreds of local families each month. The endowment fund ensures this grassroots nonprofit has the stability to continue its mission and expand services for generations to come.

About the Fund

The Copper Country Angel Mission Endowment Fund was established in 2025 through a generous gift from longtime supporter. This permanent fund ensures that the Copper Country Angel Mission (CCAM) can continue serving local families with dignity and compassion, while building long-term stability for its operations and programs.

While grants and donations cover much of CCAM’s program work, sustaining its building and operations has been a challenge. Located in Calumet’s historic district, CCAM’s facility is currently only 50% usable due to ongoing renovations. Earnings from the endowment will support mortgage payments, utilities, and renovations, including expansion of programming space on the second floor to host recovery groups, private counseling, and training opportunities

About the Copper Country Angel Mission

More than 20 years ago, CCAM began in the garage of lay pastor Rebecca Koivu of the Community Church in Calumet, where a small group of volunteers came together to help neighbors in need. Originally known as New Beginnings Angel Mission, the organization grew into an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit now supported by churches, businesses, organizations, foundations, and individuals.

Today, CCAM serves hundreds of families each month, promoting community welfare by easing the burdens of poverty and providing critical resources for daily living.
